Click here to view the June 2011 Newsletter » Launch of the Hawkhurst Smugglers Trail!The latest project from the Hawkhurst Community Partnership went live last week (26th May). This time they have explored the rich and rather gory smuggling heritage of the Hawkhurst Gang, and brought them into the light so all can learn more on the Hawkhurst Smugglers Trail. This trail covers all the hostelleries and key locations important to the Smugglers during their reign of terror in the 1700's, and is brought to life through a new leaflet and an interpretation panel at each of the 23 points on the trail. Hidden Britain worked with Hawkhurst to bring this together and provided all the design and artwork to the project. Check out some photos of the launch below...
